From being a kennel dog to being a pampered house pet -- Cinder clearly thinks she's "movin' on up" and that's okay by her! The only age-related thing is she can't manage the stairs, so has to sleep down in the kitchen in her crate. But then, that's still more comfy than she's used to, so I try not to feel too bad! Nancy, I know a Golden Retriever's not a patch on your handsome little weiner dogs :) but she is quite a beauty, isn't she? I feel so lucky to have had the chance to adopt her, no matter that she's such an old dog. Anne, she never missed a beat. Planning and management are key, believe me! It's been over 9 months since there was a second dog sharing Casey's home full-time, so I had to rack my brain a bit remember what to do, to keep things happy and calm, but they're both such laidback dogs, it's been really easy in this case. Do you know Jeff Milman, the Chicago dog trainer? He's got an audio on BlogTalk Radio that's specially about <a href="http://www.blogtalkradio.com/millmanmethod/2008/03/07/multiple-dog-household-tips" rel="nofollow">multiple dog households</a> that really helped, as well as a lot of the advice he's really generous about giving away over at <a href="http://www.watchandtrain.com/index.aspx" rel="nofollow">Watch and Train</a>.com.
