Simple and elegant, with a polish finish and an eco-friendly source: TranSglass (Artecnica at Fitzsu) is a collection of handcrafted glassware made from recycled wine and beer bottles. And I do like this carafe-and-glass set for its casual elegance, perfect for small-scale entertaining.
The idea behind TranSglass is to use what we have. We take away, we appropriate, we transform. Hard, sharp, clean forms, original colors as found within the bottles, allowing us to express our positive attitude towards the evironment.
Artisans pre-sort the colors in shades of green, clear, and brown — and what emerges is as clean-lined and crisp as a bottle, with a touch of the delightfully random. As with any recycled and handcrafted products, the glassware will vary slightly in size, appearance and color.
