This is such a simple solution, I feel stupid for not thinking of it. As a vegetarian who loves to mess around in the kitchen, this is something I'm definitely going to get into the habit of doing. Also, no added salt like in the bought stuff!

Thank you so much for posting that clip. I was looking at a local (CT) grocery ad and saw the Butterball hotline mentioned and immediately thought of The West Wing. One of my all time favorite shows. I'm going to have to go home and find this episode on DVD and watch it (but not until after Survivor and Grey's Anatomy.) Two of my other all time favorite shows! Thanks for the shout out to a terrific show. I look forward to checking out your sight in the future.

This is great. Thanks for the pattern. I'm thinking of making some up for my sister's dog for Christmas.
Also, I saw these how to's for making non-slip slippers (for humans) and think maybe it could be adapted for the dog boots too.

As my wife will attest, I'm a big geek, and a pale one at that! Come to think of it, I don't dress well either...Oh and I love the show Numbers too. I guess my geekiness is what got me my cute little wife and my lovely daughter. Fun post!

Aw, Amanda, the video's been taken down by YouTube! Hate when that happens...

Kim, I certainly see your point regarding Mr. Murray (the actor, not necessarily the characters that he plays!) but have just 6 words to float to you here:
geek with a sense of humour!

After reading the linked article at oldhouses.com, I'm thinking this all ties in with Halloween, somehow, what with the cat and the witch and warding off evil spirits.

That's Halloween, alright: the one night a year when the dearly departed undesirables return to their "old" homes.

The fly in the Cupid's Oil Lamp is the prevalence of those old shoes in the chimney. Sounds like Christmas, to me :)

Cheers,

Mitch

I remember when the kids left home and I could have an office of my own. I decorated in light colors with vibrant green plush carpet. I developed a look I loved for the first time ever. It made me feel good and energized my creativity.
