New Life for Vintage Tin Ceilings

Antique pressed-tin ceilings are being reclaimed, piece by piece, from old buildings slated for demolition… hand-painted ceiling tin art and finding a new life, thanks to a growing number of building-supply companies that specialize in salvaging old architectural materials for re-use in renovations of period homes.

Vintage ceiling tin that’s not in pieces of conventionally useable size is also happily recycled into new beauty, thanks to enterprising crafts people like Margaret Taylor.
