What is special about pic2color is that it is not based on color theory. Any one can come up with great color schemes.

Great tool! One of my favorites is Kuler, which is not as easy to use as this one (as you need some theory), but is very powerful.

@Kate, bless your heart, sounds like your “to do” list is as long as mine… and ‘ll bet it grows, two more items on it every time you knock one off, right?

@Mitch, good plan — so easy to match up font colours with an image header, to customize a website or blog theme.

@Mary Emma, thanks for sharing this with your talented daughter, and on your blog too!

Oh, yes, Pic2Color could be useful for planning a quilt, couldn’t it? And I was thinking that digital scrapbooking would benefit — that’s one creative area I haven’t dipped a finger in yet, but keep finding myself so tempted, it’s only a matter of time!

When you try it out, you’ll notice that once the colours have been selected, you’ve got the option to click on any one of them and go in deeper to explore some variations and refine the selection. I just find this so fascinating!

Digitally adept folk can simply edit their CSS. (groan)
