A discerning friend spotted the Chroma 301 kitchen knives in the Lee Valley catalogue and pronounced them “stunningly minimalist” — among other terms of enthusiastic praise for their sleek design.
One look, and I’m inclined to agree with the man.
Yes, you’d have expected a set of kitchen knives designed by F.A. Porsche to have a curving, flowing, aerodynamic line, wax-buffed to a glossy shine, but this is more of an industrial-inspired aesthetic.
These implements clearly are meant for the Inner Iron Chef who chops and fillets deep within every keen cook… but are my kitchen skills worthy of such functional elegance, I wonder?
