Real Time Renovation Video

by domestika on January 30, 2007

Work fascinates me: I could watch it all day… And what could be more fascinating than watching a real home renovation take place right before our eyes?

Thanks to the Real Time Renovation Web Cam at RenoTube.ca, we can watch and learn from the experiences of brave DIY brothers Blake and Darren Van Winckle, as the home reno adventure unfolds… Ask a question, vote for your favourite room design ideas or submit your own designs for a chance to win home hardware prizes.

The house, named “Civil House” was built in 1890 and is located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. It’s a wooden house with balloon-frame construction (same as my own house, coincidentally, which makes RenoTube all the more interesting to watch!)…

The brothers plan to make the house “a fresh part of Kingston’s history” by making it the first house to be designed by the general public, and renovated live over the internet! When the project is completed, it will be open to the public for tours.
