Rhapsody Monkey Bowl

by Domestik Goddess on February 8, 2007

Nowhere is Tracy Porter’s sense of colour (and sense of humour) displayed as amusingly as in her Rhapsody line of dinnerware, reminiscent of Majolica but with a quirky style that’s totally original — as the hand-painted earthenware Monkey Pedestal Bowl clearly shows!

As exotic as he is enchanting, this dapper monkey charms us with his fabulous blossom of a bowl. Fantastic and fun wherever you might want to add a special eclectic splash. All of his hand-painted and carefully sculpted details are especially eye-catching with a display of oranges, limes, lemons or delicious green apples.

What to do with a piece of wild whimsy like this?

I’d spark up a bright white kitchen… or display it on a dark hardwood sideboard or table in the most rigidly formal of dining rooms, as a totally unexpected accent to inject the room with personality and lighten the mood.
