Select-O-Matic Revival

by domestika on February 10, 2007

B’Noble usually feeds my book habit, but today it’s poked a stick in the ribs of my irresistable leaning toward retro Fifties styling. Lookie here, it’s a fairly convincing tribute to the old roadside diner’s Select-O-Matic tabletop jukebox! But no vinyl is required —

The Crosley Diner features a state of the art AM/FM radio with cassette player. The lighted song chart pages feature a decorative flip movement while the selection buttons conveniently conceal the dial scale. Polished to a high luster finish, this chrome beauty includes a high fidelity speaker, internal antenna, on/off controls and panel lights.

Ah, you just never see that kind of fat-cat chrome-slathered customer-controlled high-quality entertainment device on the table o a “greasy spoon” diner these days, no sirree.
