Starry, Starry Night Stuff

Starry Night Van Gogh NightlightFor an artist who only managed to sell one painting in his tormented brilliant scandal-filled lifetime, Vincent Van Gogh most certainly gets around these days…

His best-loved impressionist masterpieces turn up in the most interesting forms — from a charming enamel teapot (Talaria) to a stained glass night light (Metropolitan Museum of Art).

Light-up Starry Night Van Gogh Pillow at Trouve.comAnd talk about a perfect prop for a little comfy romance, what about this Starry Night pillow light-up pillow (Trouve). Press the moon and the stars light up!

I can’t begin to imagine what Van Gogh would have thought of all this, but anything that brings a little starlight art to daily life is just fine by me.

I love the Starry Night teapot… I have one sitting on my desk as we speak. I think you could decorate a whole house with Van Gogh and Monet accessories if you wanted to. It’s amazing how their artwork shows up in so many creative ways and products.

I agree, and wouldn’t it be very cool (if maybe a little bit dizzy-making) if we could just go through life seeing everything with Impressionist eyes?!
