Tea and Coffee for Roses?

by domestika on October 9, 2005

Someone told me to pour cold leftover tea and coffee into the potted geraniums. So, is the caffeine supposed to give the plants more energy to grow flowers? I seem to remember hearing something about putting used tea leaves around under rose bushes, too… must look into this…

Well now, I produce coffee grounds like internet marketers produce spam. And I have three rose bushes that are doing better this year since I moved them into direct sunlight, but they could stand a boost. I’m going to try this today, to see what happens.

Thanks for the tip! I shall report back on my progress.
