kids planting treesWhat if you could find a gift that’s fun, affordable, educational, eco-friendly, and suitable for all ages… and that also “keeps on giving” to others around the world?

Trees for Life has a suggestion — For $10 they will send one of your favorite people the Trees for Life Adventure© kit.

The kit contains tree seeds, instructions for growing, a tree starter carton and a bunch of other neat stuff. We’ll also plant 10 fruit trees in developing countries around the world in the name of the person you pick. And we’ll let that person know with a certificate we send along with The Trees for Life Adventure© kit.

The fruit trees that are planted by Trees for Life not only help protect the environment (trees are our essential source of breathable air, remember!) but they also give a low-cost, self-renewing source of food to hungry people in need.

The non-profit programs include three elements: education, health, and environment.

Since the inception of Trees for Life in 1984, more than 3 million people have helped plant tens of millions of fruit trees in countries like India, Guatemala, Haiti and Brazil.

Volunteers in the villages are trained by Trees for Life and provided with essential support for programs that respond to the needs of their communities. Through their own efforts and labor, the villagers reap the benefits — and each person makes a ledges to help at least two more people.
