Hi domestic goddess Jen, I wanted to introduce myself after your post on World of Good. I am also the founder of a social enterprise, http://www.laborfair.com, an online marketplace for household, personal and family care workers that helps to tackle wage inequality in the temporary labor workforce. Service providers (housecleaners, babysitters, handymen, plumbers, event staff etc.) advertise direct to able employers. I built Laborfair so everyone benefits, the consumer posts jobs for free and the provider makes more money by going direct. Laborfair is working really well in the Bay Area and Northern California as a real resource for time-starved women looking to hire quality, reliable people directly--kind of a boutique craigslist experience. I blog regularly on using business to create social change so check it out.
