Using Up the Turkey Leftovers – Part 4

by Domestik Goddess on November 27, 2005

Wonderful served hot, and not too bad at all in your lunch bag the next day, turnovers are yet another tasty way to use those turkey leftovers from the holiday meal!

Turkey Turnovers

Preheat oven to 400 °F.

1 cup turkey, cooked and diced
1 cup cheese, shredded
1/4 cup celery, chopped
1 tsp. chives or green onion, minced
mayonnaise or salad dressing
salt and pepper
1 package refrigerated biscuit dough

Combine all ingredients except the biscuit dough, using just enough mayonnaise to moisten the mixture. Form the biscuit dough into 4-inch rounds or squares, about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Divide the filling evenly between these biscuit shapes, fold over and seal the edges. Brush the tops with melted margarine or butter. Bake 15 minutes at 400 &degF and serve warm from the oven.

Almost done — I’ve got just one more recipe to follow in this series!
