White Chocolate Party Mix

by Domestik Goddess on May 5, 2006

Here’s a party snack with a difference — it combines the healthy crunch of cereals, nuts, and pretzels with the sweet indulgence of M&M’s (or Smarties) candy, all in a “white chocolate” coating.

A big thanks to our friend Kim for passing along this yummy recipe!

Ingredients

5 cups Cheerios
5 cups Corn Chex
2 cups salted peanuts
1 pound M&M candies (or Smarties)
1 10-oz. pkg. miniature pretzels
2 12-oz. pkgs. vanilla baking chips
3 Tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients and set aside. Combine the baking chips and oil in a microwave-safe bowl and heat on medium-high for 2 minutes, stirring once. Microwave on high for 10 seconds more, and stir until smooth. Pour over the cereal mixture and mix well. Spread out on sheets of waxed paper to cool, break apart, and store in an airtight container.
