Wis Design Jewellery Lamp

by Domestik Goddess on October 13, 2007

The Swedish design team of Lisa Widén and Anna Irinarchos — Wis Design — may possibly have come up with the perfect blend of home organization and home decor.

Instead of letting jewelleries get tangled on hooks, or hiding them in boxes, we literally want to bring them into the light.

When the jewelleries are not decorating you, they are decorating your own personally styled lamp.

Practical and playful, the Jewellery Lamp changes from day to day, and is totally unique for every one of us who can sling a string of beads or hang an earring collection!

I just LOVE it! There’s much to be said about getting a decent jewelry hanger…… I’ve bought so many from Ebay from all over the world, and they were all pieces of crap.

If you buy good quality accessories, then looks like you should also buy one equally as beautiful to hang them on….

Do you know where I can buy this by any chance? Website doesn’t say :(

It is really great, isn’t it, Sharon?

Wis Design is a couple of young designers, doing the rounds of some high-end exhibitions and starting to get noticed in Europe, especially, but we’re mostly talking custom work and one-off pieces so far. A table or two in MIO stores (in the Scandinavian countries), but nowhere for this incredible lamp, not yet, as far as I know.

Someone’s missing out on a real opportunity here… because you’re right, it’s nearly impossible to find a good, attractive, useful jewellery ‘tree’ that does the job beautifully.

Thanks for the additional info domestika!

Hopefully I’ll see it around *sometime*.
